Life today
I feel like I've gotten over a hump of learning. At first I knew nothing, not how to work the toilets, how to open my door to my room (it slides but still has a knob), or what the friggin heck the menu says. Actually, grocery shopping is easier, because you can see it. Of course, telling the difference between sweet and sour pickles can be hard when you don't know the work suß (sweet). I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be able to hear the words people say instead of a meaningless blur or syllables, and decide that I want beef today and be able to order that. Life is strange, and fun.
I have decided I will go to maybe two tourist sites and one concert per week. This way I can still get school done but also enjoy myself and not feel like I am missing the whole experience. I haven't decided about restaurants, maybe I'll try one or two new ones every week, but I am not usually that adventurous. I need a buddy to go with. There is no-one here that I've truly clicked with, besides, maybe, Janette, and she is the shy type, I think. Abuse of commas is a wonderful thing, no?
I need to go to class.
See ya'll later.
