Actually, it wasn't bad, overall.
Got up. Did the personal hygiene thing. Made myself eggs and bacon, put half of that in a sandwich for lunch. Squeaked out the door barely on time. Then there was German, not as bad as usual. Our teacher is going easy on us because we have a test this Thursday. Pbbbtt! (I did not actually make that noise).
Lunch was good. I hurriedly looked up some violin repertoire for Music Performance. We waited for our Music History teacher to take us to the Figaro House. It was quite interesting, I just wasn't into it today. The best room was the study where Mozart actually composed for two and a half years. I felt like doing stuff there, it just had a studious feel to it. Then I walked back to IES for Music Performance, and on my way there a German guy stopped me and asked for directions.
Now, this is a big deal. Because this means I look like a native, or someone who knows her way around, and not like an American. These are the vibes I got from the IES people my first week: that looking American is very bad. They never came out and said why, but I can guess. Of course, I couldn't help the guy, though he did speak enough English to make me understand his request. I just had no idea where the place was. Oh, well.
In Music Performance I got hungry. This is bad for two reasons: one, I am in slight physical discomfort, and two, it makes me hate the world in general. I kid you not. When I go for too long without food, my recurrent thought becomes "I hate you all". Please don't hate me for this.
Oh yeah, and I looked up the wrong kind of repertoire online. So I have to redo the presentation thing Thursday.
So my schedule for the next two days looks like this:
Wed.
German,
Music History listening quiz and paper due.
Thurs.
German test (big deal!)
Performance Workshop presentation (not that big a deal) and play with a chamber group (again, not a big deal but on top of the presentation and test? Greeny feels stressed.)
That was my day, I have to go finish that paper and study everything, now.
P. S. A big shout out to my cousin (who is not very likely to read this). But CONGRADULATIONS on the big news, anyway. Best wishes on a safe and healthy pregnancy, and no twins.
I am off to see.... my paper, my paper of insanity.
