Today is my dad's birthday (happy birthday!). Randomly, I also bought a car today.

Just letting that sink in. It's a Honda Civic, and it's so sharp. I love it lots. If this seems sudden, well, I've needed a car since I totaled my old one last year, but I've been using dad's truck as a stopgap, and it was the Cash for Clunkers program that made mother push me into finding a car. We checked out a good few yesterday, and I fell into serious like with the Civic. Today kinda tested that like (So. Much. Waiting.) but it was worth it in the end. I has a vehicle! There should be pictures! There will be pictures next time.

Other than that, life is rather predictable. I've taught my first lesson since I got back. It went really well, and pleased me. I've also been messing around with the dang fanfiction again, but I'm trying to make it a positive thing instead of the opposite. I went to band practice yesterday night, and I forgot my bow -sigh of extreme disappointment-, but I got to hear what everyone else has been working on, and it's so good. I can't wait to catch up with them. The knitting limps along slowly, but it's going!

I think I'll be heading out now,
Greene

Yesterday I lived through one day, but thought it was two for a while. Getting up early and keeping going until the very end can do that, I guess. There were classes in the morning, and then the day split around 2pm. There was another class, baking, reading, family grouping, and racquetball. At the end I got very confused for a second, and then realized that this was yet another blog-worthy event. The strangest thing about it all was that I hadn't checked my email at all. That was disconcerting.

In late-breaking (and somewhat embarrassing) news, my older sister's birthday was the 13th of September. Happy Belated Birthday, sis! I'm mailing that card soon, I promise.

See ya'll later,
Greeny

Two things:
First, I must wish my friend Julie a very happy Birthday. It is her 21st. Although she feels like my younger sister, her birthday inevitably falls almost a month before mine. Weird.
Second, in honor of the great and cute one's birthday, I went to the Phantom of the Opera tonight with my parents. It was very cool, extremely good costumes, sets, lighting, and, of course, acting. I was alternately chilled and sympathetic. Then (I did not plan this, I swear), we went to Wendy's and got Frosties. Julie, tonight was all about you.

And, for randomness' sake, a few more things. Julie and I met in August of 2005. We were assigned roommates, and we were both nervous about meeting the other. However, I was thrilled to meet someone more shy than I was, and we promptly became good roommates, and then friends, and now we share an apartment. Three things Julie likes: Pink, any kind of fluffy, cute animal (Leno, anyone?), and small ice. I could go on, but then I would be gushing.

To sum up: Julie, it's been such a great ride. You are a unique and wonderful individual. Please keep being the focused, honest person you are. You have influenced me for the better, and I hope I haven't influenced you for the worse. Happy Birthday, and don't drink too much.
